The Marion County Clerk's Office was a busy place Wednesday as many people took advantage of the first day of early voting. "By casting your ballot early, you can reap a few benefits - less time spent waiting in lines, no election day crowds, and metaphorically saying "¡adiós!" to Donald Trump a whole four weeks early.
Anyone who has cast a ballot in early voting will be so identified in the city computer system and prohibited from voting again in person on Election Day, Murphy McGee said.
Officials said there were around 10,000 early voters in Vanderburgh County for this year's primary election.
Early voting ballots and absentee ballots will be treated the same when it comes to tabulating them, Bouchard said.
"If you don't vote, you don't have the right to complain", he said.
The board also discussed a directive from the Ohio Secretary of State's Office regarding paper ballots that need to be available at polling locations on November 8.
Where confusion might come, Bouchard said, is during which elections early voting will be offered.
More voters are expected this year than in the 2012 election.

Early voting by mail will also be available starting Monday, Oct. 24.
Absentee voting means voting by a paper ballot that is mailed or delivered to the county clerk. Mailed and dropped-off ballots must be received by the election commissioner by 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8 - when the polls close on Election Day.
In early voting, a voter's ballot will be kept in an envelope that bears an affidavit from the voter confirming his or her identity.
Early voting ballots can not be returned to a polling place.

In Tippecanoe County, you can cast your ballot early at the Board of Elections and Registration office in the county office building in downtown Lafayette.
