At the annual Alfred E. Smith Memorial Foundation Dinner Thursday evening, presidential nominees Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump proved their relationship might be well past civility and good humor.
Trump, speaking before Clinton, started off strong, drawing hearty laughs from the white tie-clad crowd and Clinton.
"I can't think of a bolder way for Donald Trump to lose even more standing than he already has than by engaging the first lady of the United States", he said.
The internal memo suggests surrogates say things like "We have also seen very significant recent voting irregularities across the country from Pennsylvania to Colorado and an increase in unlawful voting by illegal immigrants".
"Donald thinks belittling women makes him bigger", Hillary Clinton said at the debate on October 19, 2016. After last weekend's take on Trump's performance in the second debate, he tweeted: "Watched Saturday Night Live hit job on me.Time to retire the boring and unfunny show".
The Democrat said Trump's conspiracy theories illustrated his authoritarian tendencies. There were several lines in the former supermodel's speech that were apparently lifted from first lady Michelle Obama's remarks at the 2008 Democratic National Convention. He has since faced accusations-which he has said are "absolutely false"-that he made improper sexual advances to women over decades".
Earnest said that she is a persuasive speaker who can make a purposeful case for Clinton to be the next president. He said the "economy is busted, the government is corrupt".
But he was booed when he joked that she hated Catholics.

He told a rally of supporters: "We are going to miss her, but I know that everyone is proud of you for stepping into her shoes". The Liberal Democrats are represented by businesswoman Liz Leffman, and Ukip by Dickie Bird, in the Oxfordshire seat.
But, the laughter and applause turned to boos when his speech got a bit too political for the religious crowd. "For instance, Hillary believes that it's vital to deceive the people by having one public policy and a totally different policy in private", Trump said when he took the stage.
He also made a joke about Haiti.
Instead of seeing the Statue of Liberty being a beacon of hope, Mr Trump rates her looks as a "four" or maybe a five if she loses the torch and tablet, and changes her hair, Mrs Clinton joked. "I call you my base".
Clinton fired back with a joke about taking a break from her "nap schedule" then had a quip about the price of her speeches. Many of them didn't even seem meant to evoke laughs so much as controversy. No word yet on how the White House will respond.
"Getting through these three debates with Donald has to count as a miracle".
Trump kicked off the NY event joking that the gathering was Clinton's "largest crowd of the season". Attendees pay between $3,000 and $15,000 to attend the dinner, which raises about $5 million to provide services for impoverished children, Zwilling said. And fittingly for an event named after a man nicknamed "The Happy Warrior", the occasion has produced dozens of memorable presidential jokes. Some people call you the elite.
"If you look over recent history, Mitt Romney, John McCain, John Kerry, Al Gore after the recount, all gave statement where they endorse their opponent as victor of the election and the next president of the United States", Galdieri said.
