Rami Malek will play Freddie Mercury in a long-awaited biopic.
X-Men director Bryan Singer is now in talks to direct Bohemian Rhapsody, a long-awaited biopic about the legendary band Queen, and it has been revealed that Mr Robot actor Rami Malek will be portraying the iconic musician Freddy Mercury.
The news was seemingly broken by X-Men director and producer Bryan Singer, who has been in talks about taking the director's chair. Freddie Mercury died in 1991 and left a long-running icon history.
Bohemian Rhapsody is a project that has the remaining members of the legendary band, Brian May and Roger Taylor, closely associated with it.
Bohemian Rhapsody is aiming to begin production early next year.

The "Bohemian Rhapsody" lead is also in "Buster's Mal Heart" and "Short Term 12". The latest draft of the script is from Anthony McCarten, who wrote Stephen Hawking biopic The Theory of Everything.
