The first Cars movie was released in 2006, and followed a hot-shot race vehicle named Lightning McQueen who learns what the true meaning of friendship is when he winds up alone in the desolate town of Radiator Springs. While, the two films have garnered a significant amount at the global box office, "Cars" and "Cars 2" are middle of the pack when it comes to Pixar's box office successes. Pixar looks to be making another tonal shift with the forthcoming Cars 3, and this one might finally align the series with the studio's more emotionally centered tales.
OK, OK, I'm sorry but how is my heart supposed to handle this new Cars 3 teaser?
Disney first revealed that "Cars 3" was in the works in 2013, then set a summer 2017 release date as part of a massive dating announcement a year ago. A synopsis of the movie is below.
With help from young race technician, Cruz Ramirez and some inspiration from the late Fabulous Hudson Hornet, McQueen will enter the most challenging period of his life on Piston Cup Racing's biggest stage. Movie's new tagline appears: "From this moment, everything will change".
Facebook Creates Censorship Tool To Try To Re-Enter China
Indeed, all of this hints that it is the governments that want a modified version of Facebook and not the other way around. For now, Chinese companies can purchase Facebook ads that run in regions where the social network is not banned.
In short, it seems like "Cars 3" is readying us for a turn from "Cars 2", which inexplicably included Brent Musberger and other even worse plot turns.
We absolutely love the new trailer. "Cars 3" is scheduled to be released on June 16, 2017.
Disney's Cars franchise is, like most of the properties under Pixar's umbrella, a feel-good family affair. But I have to admit, this debut trailer makes me very curious. [McQueen] is not an old man, but he's one of the older cars on the circuit with new rookies coming in. Owen Wilson as Lightning McQueen, Jose Premole as Toni, Jason Pace as Radio Sports Talk DJ (from the trailer).
