Obama was not deterred by the groans or the crying saying he hopes that when somebody at the Thanksgiving dinner table says you can't have any more food, you'll respond: "Yes, we cran".
On why these turkeys will have a Happy Thanksgiving: "I want to take a moment to recognize the fearless turkeys who weren't so lucky".
"Look, I know there's some bad ones in here, but this is the last time I'm doing this so we're not leaving any room for leftovers".
Domino says the turkeys were chosen from a group by having particularly strong personalities, they're about 18 weeks old, and they had to be trained to be comfortable standing on a podium.
After the pardoning, the turkeys will be on display for visitors at their permanent home at Virginia Tech's newly built "Gobblers Rest" exhibit where they will be cared for by students and veterinarians in the university's Animal and Poultry Sciences Department.
