The result leaves Palace just two points clear of the relegation zone, and Allardyce will want January reinforcements in order to secure Premier League survival - as he did at Sunderland last season.
Allardyce was sacked just 67 days into the role after making ill-advised comments while in conversation with undercover reporters in a newspaper sting.
Allardyce has now taken charge at Selhurst Park, with Palace themselves battling to keep hold of their Premier League status.
