The artist, whose real name is Roland Collins, was inside a vehicle at a red light near East 91st Street and Linden Boulevard at around 4:20 p.m., police said. He then crashed his vehicle into a parked auto. He had reportedly been en route to visiting family in Brooklyn when he was attacked in his red Maserati.
Collins is hospitalized in fair condition. He is now out on $500,000 bail after a shooting erupted in the VIP section of the concert left his bodyguard, Ronald McPhatter, dead and Troy with a leg wound. He was on his way to have Christmas dinner with his family when the shooting took place. The rapper, who was born in Brooklyn, sustained non-life-threatening injuries, according to Billboard. He was charged with attempted murder, criminal possession of a weapon, reckless endangerment and menacing, police said.
The police do not have a description of the gunman, but they said they are investigating the shooting.

He threw a 17-yard touchdown to Chris Thompson in the first quarter and scored on a 9-yard run in the second. Green Bay defeated Minnesota 38-25 at Lambeau Field on Christmas Eve for its 5th straight win.
Collins' lawyers have claimed that he was a victim in that incident, and in a statement following Sunday's shooting his lawyer, Scott Leemon, said the rapper once again the victim of an attempt on his life.
"If he's been shot twice in a year, you know, we don't want people looking at it as an opportunity to speak iff of anybody or make assumptions", McPhatter said. He spent six weeks in jail before being released on $500,000 bail in July. "He said to me that he feels blessed that this wasn't fatal", Stella added.
