Chinese telecommunications equipment company Coolpad has reportedly launched its new Cool 1 Dual smartphone in India on Wednesday at a starting price of Rs 13,999.
The Cool 1 Dual is the result of an unlikely collaboration between LeEco and Coolpad and is available in two variants - one with 3GB RAM/32GB internal storage and a higher end variant with 4GB RAM/64GB internal storage. The processor which is used in this is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 octa-core (quad-core 1.8GHz Cortex-A72 + quad-core 1.2GHz Cortex-A53) with Adreno 510 GPU. The selfies are covered by an 8MP camera, with f/2.2 aperture and a wide 80-degree lens.
Coolpad's Cool 1 is in partnership with LeEco; the latter has a majority share in Coolpad. The Cool 1 has been launched in India with a price tag of Rs 13,999, and having spent the last few days with the device, here are my first impressions. There is a 5.5-inch full-HD (1920×1080 pixels) display with a peak brightness of 450 nits and a pixel density of 401ppi.
This phone also incorporates fingerprint scanner on the back behind the rear cameras which is claimed to open the phone in just 0.05 seconds and can also capture images.
Steve Smith: Sunday is probably my last game
Smith planned to retire after 2015, but changed his mind when an Achilles injury wiped away his season after just seven games. This season, he led the team touchdown receptions (5), and ranked third in receptions (67) and receiving yards (765).
The Coolpad Cool 1 Dual components a Dual Camera set up on the back side of the gadget. There is however no option to expand the memory using a microSD card. The Cool 1 basically runs on Android Marshmallow-based EUI 5.8. The smartphone is packed with a 4000mAh battery with fast charging support.
It will be available in two color variants, namely Silver and Gold.
Connectivity: The dualSIM phone supports 4G LTE and is VoLTE-ready. It has Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.1, GPS, USB Type-C, accelerometer, ambient light sensor, gyroscope, magnetometer and proximity sensor on board. We are constantly innovating and bringing products that the consumers want. 2017 will be a game changer for Coolpad in India as we plan to capture 4% of market share. However, the company hasn't unveiled any date regarding the offline sales, and the online sale will go on from 5 January. "Coolpad has now expanded its market to other regions and the smartphones will now be available in Bangladesh and Nepal".
