Three former stars of the USA national women's gymnastics team said Dr. Lawrence Nassar, the team physician now charged with child sex crimes, worked hard to win their trust - so they didn't believe at first that his alleged abuse was wrong.
The three had accused Nassar, the team's former volunteer doctor for USA Gymnastics for around 30 years before he retired in July of 2015, of inappropriately touching them, disguising his abuse as necessary treatment.
"He would put his fingers inside of me and move my leg around", Dantzscher said.
"They made me feel like I had done something awful", she said, adding that they told her to apologise to the doctor.
Nassar, 53, has pleaded not guilty to state charges in MI of sexual assault and federal charges of possession of more than 37,000 images of child pornography. She says he rubbed his genitals on her and digitally penetrated her, among other things. Nassar veiled the alleged sexual abuse as medical treatment for her. "A very severe hip problem. he had asked me not to wear any underwear", said Howard in the segment.

Feinstein said her bill would mandate that organizations such as USA Gymnastics that work with young, amateur athletes must report suspected incidents of sexual abuse to police.
Howard said she is speaking out against the "culture of abuse, both emotional and physical and sexual, just to not be a part of our sport". An FBI agent testified in December that computers and hard drives found on Nassar's property contained at least 37,000 images or videos of child pornography, as well as videos that showed Nassar sexually assaulting young girls in a swimming pool. Since that story, more than 60 women or girls have made sexual assault allegations against Nassar to law enforcement, officials have said.
