Kelly Ripa is set to announce a new partner for her daytime chat show, almost a year after the departure of former co-host Michael Strahan. Since he left, Ripa has had a slew of co-hosts including Ashton Kutcher, Mark Consuelos and John Leguizamo.
The beloved talk show airs in many markets at 9 a.m., directly against the third hour of NBC's "Today".
The wait will soon be over to find out who will be the next one to co-host next to Kelly Ripa. The announcement comes a year after Michael Strahan made the surprising announcement that he was leaving the show to explore other ventures.
Then there is Dick Clark's New Year's Rockin' Eve with Ryan Seacrest, ABC's annual New Year's Eve program which he hosts and executive produces. The "Live" gig puts Seacrest squarely in business with each of the Big Four network parent companies.

Feeling blindsided, Ripa subsequently took a week off amid acrimony, and Strahan's departure date was moved up from sometime that summer to May 13.
"Nice to see you, partner" Seacrest told Ripa as they sat at the table together for the first time.
"For four decades, WABC has been the proud home of 'Live.' With this announcement, the show begins another incredible era, and we couldn't be more excited to have a true broadcaster like Ryan Seacrest join the legendary Kelly Ripa as co-host".
