The company reminded players that this content will be available for the version of Wii U and Switch, and that the rest of the information will be revealed soon. This one is due this Summer, while the second-which includes an expansion of the story-is coming later.
Nintendo Wii U owners can also purchase the Expansion Pass for the same price and using the same methods (roughly) as the above. To help with tracking progress, the new Hero's Path Mode will document every step players take, and mark their path in green on the map. Once you've picked it up, you'll be able to bind a single point in Breath of the Wild's massive world to the medallion and make it a permanent fast travel point that should prove useful during your journey.
By reaching a "certain sacred location", players can take on the new Trial of the Sword challenge.
Trial of the Sword will include a gauntlet of enemies that appear one after another. This trial starts with Link having no equipment or weapons and Link will be able to advance to the next room after defeating all the enemies in that room first. There are a total of 45 rooms to complete, and if all are completed the Master Sword will receive an upgrade and will always retain its fully powered up status regardless if the player is within Ganon's castle or not.
Also bundled inside The Master Trials DLC are the new Trial of the Sword challenge, a Travel Medallion, spiffy new armor, and the Korosk mask, which shakes when players approach a hidden Korok seed. The player can transport to that point at any time.

There's a promising amount of content in The Master Trials, though it seems primarily aimed at folks who simply want Breath of the Wild to offer more of a challenge. However, only one of these fast travel points can be active at a time, but players can change it.
Travel Medallion: There will be a new treasure chest somewhere in the game world which contains the Travel Medallion. You'll have to find it first, though, as it's hidden in a new treasure chest within the world.
Eight new pieces of equipment come with the pack, modeled after past The Legend of Zelda characters such as Tingle, Majora's Mask, and Midna.
There will also be a selection of new armor sets and masks to find, based on previous Zelda games. However, players can not buy the two packs separately, as they are only sold via the game's Expansion Pass. In return, Nintendo will unlock the DLC Pack 1 in the summer and DLC Pack 2 in the holidays.
