Jaguar has revealed its most powerful road legal auto ever in the form of the XE SV Project 8.
Under the bonnet will sit a 600PS 5.0 litre V8 engine, presumably using the familiar supercharged setup of various other Jaguar models.
The arms race of power has a new world leader in the executive saloon market, with the Jaguar XE SV Project 8's 592bhp comfortably outdoing its rivals where brute force is concerned.
"Our clients worldwide were thrilled by the F-Type Project 7", says John Edwards, Managing Director of Jaguar Special Operations.
The team is very enthusiastic and is committed to the creation of a thrilling experience for the driver.
Mosul residents deny findings of US probe into Iraq strike
They claim there were no IS fighters in the house struck by the USA bomb and that IS militants had not rigged it with explosives. Coalition forces are already adapting to ISIS' tactic of using trapped civilians to maximize collateral damage, Isler said.
Jaguar is yet to reveal more as development, which includes high-speed testing at the Nürburgring, is ongoing.
Performance specs aren't known yet - we'll find out more on the 28th June - but we can confirm that Project 8 features all-wheel drive like the F-Type SVR.
The Project 8, fairly logically, follows on from 2014's F-Type Project 7.
The Project 8 will be built as a strictly limited collector's model with only 300 examples to be produced globally as the second special-build project from Jaguar's SVO division, after the F-Type Project 7 of previous year. Full specifications will be revealed soon ahead of its world dynamic debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed in in the United Kingdom on June 30.
It's the V8-powered XE we've all been waiting for, but just like the Project 7 that came before it the Project 8 will be extraordinarily exclusive. "The price for such an extreme performance sports auto available in strictly limited numbers will reflect that", he added. It is surely going to be much faster than the present XE.
