The DC-based Turkish news site Washington Hatti reported today that Eyup Yildirim was arrested for playing a role in this incident, and the Daily Caller now reports that a second, Sinan Narin, was also arrested.
Initially two people were arrested after the incident - one was charged with aggravated assault and antoher for assault on a police officer.
"When an outcome is reached", the statement continued, "the Department will determine if any additional steps will need to be taken".
Turkey has criticized the U.S. for arming members of the Kurdish People's Protection Units (YPG) in its fight against Islamic State in Syria.

Turkey's foreign ministry has "invited" the US ambassador in Ankara to condemn arrest warrants issued for a dozen Turkish security agents accused of attacking protesters during President Recep Tayyip Erdogan's visit to Washington last month. With two men arrested on Wednesday and two arrested immediately following the incident, the total number facing charges is now 18.
In addition to the 14 outstanding warrants, police will ask for the public's help in identifying additional perpetrators of the violence.

Video footage of the fracas shows Turkish security aides beating and kicking demonstrators, leaving nine people injured. Another wrenched a woman's neck and threw her to the ground.
Of the twelve men, seven will be charged with felonies and five with misdemeanors, a law enforcement official was quoted as telling the Chicago Tribune. After officers struggled to protect the protesters and ordered the men in suits to retreat, several of the men dodged the officers and ran into a park to continue the attacks. Nine people were eventually hospitalised, some with serious injuries.

Four people already have been charged in connection with the incident, which occurred during Erdogan's visit to the USA capital. The Turkish government considers the group a terrorist outfit affiliated with the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' party (PKK).
State Department officials will be working on trying to bring Turkish security officials charged in the incident to face justice in the U.S., Newsham said.
Turkey will respond to problems at their source, whenever it is necessary, President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said Thursday.
"Our understanding is those two individuals have Canadian addresses, but we're unable to confirm if they're in fact citizens", a police spokesperson said.
But Mehmet Yuksel, who arrived immediately after the incident and knows nearly all of the dozen or so demonstrators, said they weren't connected with the PKK.
