"You can't have obstruction of justice when the president didn't commit a crime", he wrote.
So she says in a letter to the committee's chairman, GOP Sen.
Feinstein tells CNN'S "State of the Union" she won't draw any conclusions about obstruction until the matter is investigated.
Reporters quizzed Mr Trump if Mr Comey had been "lying under oath".
"James Comey confirmed a lot of what I said", Trump said during a Rose Garden news conference. The president was given until June 23 to comply with the demand.
He also questioned whether Comey was behind other leaks because "it seems like he knew exactly how to do it", King told "Sunday Morning Futures" on Fox News. He also denied he asked Comey for his loyalty, but quickly added: "There would be nothing wrong if I did say it".
A senior Russian lawmaker has dismissed the testimony of former FBI Director James Comey as insignificant.
But eventually they conceded, agreeing to a document production schedule with the Senate and providing documents to the House Intelligence Committee this week as well. In the post, the president said: "Despite so many false statements and lies, total and complete vindication... and WOW, Comey is a leaker". Comey was leading that probe.
"When it comes from the president, I took it as a direction".
It is not yet known whether Session will testify to the committee in public or private.
In nearly three hours of sworn testimony, Comey also said he orchestrated a leak to a New York Times reporter of a memo describing his conversations with Trump in the hope that it would prompt the appointment of a special counsel.

With the accession, the strength of the grouping rose to eight and its footprints expanded from Central Asia to South Asia. All members' countries of the regional grouping signed 11 documents including one on combating extremism.
Comey also revealed that he'd orchestrated the public release of information about his private conversations with the president.
After the election but before the inauguration, Trump asked Bharara to stay on as US attorney in Manhattan when they met at Trump Tower. "Come right out and say, 'Hey this is what I'm saying happened.' Don't hide behind somebody else and leak it out".
In Mr. Comey, Mr. Trump met his match, and his presidency, such as it is, will never recover from that meeting. Bharara was asked for his resignation, along with other USA attorneys, but he refused and was sacked. And today, congressional Republicans are "actively supporting the investigation of Donald Trump", he said. A special prosecutor subpoenaed the tapes, to which the president objected.
President Donald Trump is predicting that former FBI Director James Comey's "leaks will be far more prevalent than anyone ever thought possible". "Totally illegal? Very 'cowardly!'"
Trump is again challenging Comey after the ousted Federal Bureau of Investigation director's testimony before the Senate Intelligence committee last week.
As perhaps should have been expected, the most important takeaway from Comey's testimony may be what he didn't say. He contended that information was not classified or otherwise protected. Comey tried to explain that the investigation of Clinton's emails was finished whereas the investigation of Trump's campaign is ongoing.
Former FBI Director James Comey is sworn in during a Senate Intelligence Committee hearing on Capitol Hill, Thursday, June 8, 2017, in Washington.
The president had previewed his attacks against Comey in an early-morning tweet that broke his previous day's silence on his favorite social media megaphone. Trump is spending the weekend at Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, N.J.
On Friday, leaders of the House of Representatives Intelligence Committee said that they had asked Comey for the memos of his discussions with Trump and told the White House to produce any recordings or memos of conversations between Trump and Comey.
His testimony provided a gripping account of his interactions with President Trump and underscored the discord that had soured their relationship.
