Another year, another win for Joey "Jaws" Chestnut at Nathan's Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest.
Chestnut has dominated the chowdown throwdown for years, eating 70 franks and buns last year to top his then-record and take back the title from Matt "The Megatoad" Stonie.
"Joey Chestnut unofficially at 71".
Thousands of people - many wearing hot-dog-shaped hats - amassed on Coney Island's famed boardwalk for the contest.
Chestnut had been the reigning champion and favorite heading into the competition.
The contest is now an annual event that millions tune in to watch every year on Independence Day. All told, Chestnut has won the competition a whopping 10 times at this point.
Apple's (AAPL) "Outperform" Rating Reaffirmed at Cowen and Company
Apple came out with a surprise in 2016, introducing the iPhone SE in the middle of its usual cycle of introducing new phones. Just look at Apple's iPhone 7, and you'll see a litany of features that weren't even thought possible ten years ago.
America dominated the women's competition as well, with Las Vegas' own Miki Sudo winning her fourth consecutive title with 41 dogs. She wolfed down 41 hot dogs, besting her performance previous year when she gobbled up 38-and-a-half hot dogs.
The title of king of the hot dogs has been defended successfully by last year's victor Joey Chestnut.
"I'm gonna crush you and your skinny jeans", said Chestnut, who stands 6-foot-1 and weighs a manly 230 pounds, in an interview with TMZ Sports. So the hot dog contest is perhaps not a great example of healthy habits.
As usual, the winners at this year's Nathan's hot dog contest will split a total prize pool of $40,000. Thomas, who's 50, came in third on Tuesday with 30 dogs and buns, well shy of her record 45. She's your 2017 women's victor with 41 hot dogs.
