The console's smartphone application launches alongside Splatoon 2on July 21, making it will be among the first games to support it. You can view all your stats, friends lists, and gear shop on SplatNet 2.
The app appears on the same day as the paint-based multiplayer shooter Splatoon 2, which sees players fight using paint guns to take over a battle map.
You can identify yourself with your friends in the app using the Nintendo Network ID, friend code, and social media.

Finally the single player Adventure mode returns as you rescue Callie of the Squid Sisters from the Octarians. While Nintendo's services can't directly be compared to those of Microsoft and Sony's, these two giants charge $59.99 for the annual online subscription.
