This year's U.S. News & World Report rankings cover almost every hospital in every community nationwide.
The U.S. News report ranks hospitals nationwide on performance in 16 specialty areas - ranging from cancer to urology - and at the regional level on scores for common care, which includes treatment for hip and knee replacements, heart failure and lung cancer surgery.
Earlier this summer, U.S. News ranked Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago the top children's hospital in IL and the 7th best children's hospital in the country.
