Noble's attorney, Jeff Herman, said that Weinstein violated federal sex trafficking law when he "enticed and coerced" Noble to go to his hotel room with the promise of helping her career and "he used force, he used coercion, he used fraud to get her to engage in a commercial sex act".
British actress Kadian Noble claims she was forced into a hotel bathroom and sexually assaulted by Weinstein in May 2014.
Kadian Noble alleges that Weinstein invited her to his room at the Le Majestic Hotel in Cannes in February 2014, on the pretense of casting her in a movie.
The movie mogul groped her breasts and rubbed her vagina before grabbing Noble's hand and forcing her into a sex act, the actress recounted Tuesday. According to the suit, Weinstein then trapped her in the bathroom and forced her to masturbate him until he ejaculated on the floor.
She said she saw Weinstein several times since but after the last meeting in May past year, again at Le Majestic, she told the executive assistant in London her sexual assault allegation.
When the horrifying ordeal was over, Weinstein allegedly told her "his people" would be in touch with her.
In the flood of disturbing tales of sexual misconduct among Hollywood's heaviest hitters you'd be forgiven for forgetting just how horrific the ~alleged~ behavior of the man who began it all really was, so let this latest lawsuit serve as a refresher: Harvey Weinstein is now being sued for sex trafficking.
Using language common among cops and anti-trafficking activists, the suit accuses Weinstein of "grooming" Noble before trafficking her.
PUBG is coming to China but not without changes
He also intends to provide the best game to Chinese players with the two companies closely working together. With Tencent behind the project, it's now unlikely such a ban will be put in place.
He promised her a role but sexually assaulted her after she attempted to show him her showreel at his hotel during the Cannes Film Festival, she told the conference in NY.
"Essentially under the statute, if a US citizen goes to another country and uses force to entice a person to engage in a commercial sex act, they violate this law", Herman said.
As for Weinstein, he is under investigation by police in New York, Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, and the United Kingdom for multiple sexual assault charges.
Noble's complaint calls The Weinstein Company complicit in this activity, since it either knew or "was in reckless disregard of the facts" that Weinstein recruited young female actors to visit him, sometimes via interstate or global travel, under false pretenses, promising an acting opportunity and then coercing or forcing sexual activity.
"Upon information and belief, the code word among TWC employees "FOH", meant "Friend of Harvey", and referred to a young woman who had participated in sex in exchange for a role or position in an upcoming project", the complaint details.
Police in Beverly Hills, New York, London and Los Angeles are now investigating multiple sexual assault allegations against disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein. "TWC employees knew to "take care" of the FOH's", the filing claims.
A spokesman for the Directors Guild of America confirmed that Weinstein had resigned, several weeks after president Thomas Schlamme announced disciplinary charges against the tycoon, but refused to comment further.
