Two students have reportedly been shot at a U.S. high school.
John Gutierrez, 41 of Frederickson, to The News-Tribune of Tacoma that he was on his way to the Graham-Kapowsin High to get his son, who had finished with his after-school drama program. The victims ran to the high school after being shot.
While one student was found in the parking lot near the football field, the other was found in a locker room.
A woman who claimed to be the mother of one of the victims wrote on Facebook that her son was shot four times and insisted that her son was not a gang member, 'but an innocent bystander along with the other boy that was shot'.
The Pierce County Sheriff's Department reported that two students. But before the fight started, someone in the getaway auto fired multiple rounds, hitting the two students. Two students who were shot were expected to survive after undergoing surgery.

The victims were taken to hospitals for medical treatment. At least one suspect is in custody.
In the moments that followed the shooting, Graham-Kapowsin High School was placed on lockdown, along with nearby Frontier Middle School and Nelson Elementary. Deputies were actively sweeping the school grounds, but said there was no indication the suspects were on campus.
Police believe the shooting occurred off school property. "We are confident that with your help we will bring swift justice and peace of mind for the hundreds of students and parents affected by today's shooting". We have been assured that students still on campus are safe.
The school district announced the lifting of the lockdown at Graham-Kapowsin, as well as the two-hour delay of the start of school there Wednesday. "This is a scary situation, and we are proud of how our staff, students, and families have been and are still reacting to it", Bethel Schools tweeted.
The Pierce County Sheriff's Department is offering a reward for information in the case through Crime Stoppers.
