Chatwood spent the 2017 season with the Colorado Rockies and though his 15 losses led the NL (compared to eight wins) and he posted a 4.87 ERA, he had a better year than the bare bones stats would suggest. Factoring in ballpark and season, Chatwood still finished last season with an above-average ERA+ of 107, per Baseball Reference.
The 27-year-old also had a strong end to the year, posting a 3.12 ERA in seven games (five starts) during September. On the road, he recorded a 3.49 ERA and held foes to a.200 batting average.
Chatwood sported a 6.01 ERA and 1.68 WHIP at hitter-friendly Coors Field past year, but his numbers on the road indicate the Cubs may have acquired a nice under-the-radar starting pitcher: 3.49 ERA, 1.23 WHIP. Chatwood has never thrown more than 158 innings in a season and missed brief time with a calf injury in 2017. For his career, which included his first season with the Angels, Chatwood is 40-46 with a 4.31 ERA.При любом использовании материалов сайта и дочерних проектов, гиперссылка на обязательна.
