The owner of two pitbulls which mauled a woman to death in her front yard on Christmas Eve has been arrested for harboring a vicious animal.
Around 10.20am, brother-in-law James Saylor called police to tell them that the two dogs had "savagely" attacked the couple.
Sheriff's deputies in Bell County, Ky., said Lorraine Brock Saylor suffered severe injuries and was dead at the scene Sunday morning.
Bell County dispatch confirmed that they received a call stating that a woman and her husband were attacked by two dogs at 10:20 a.m.
According to the Bell County Sheriff's Office, the man shot and killed one of the dogs, but the other ran off. Deputies believe it is injured and say that the dogs do not belong to the couple. Also, the dog which was killed by Johnny will undergo a necropsy. Authorities have asked residents in the Arjay community to be on the lookout for the injured brown dog.
Reportedly, Floyd Mayweather Is "Legitimately" Considering A Rematch With Conor McGregor
The boxing match with Conor McGregor, that took place this past August and made over $23 million, started off as a far-fetched rumor.
At the time of the attack, Lankford was already being held in the Bell County Detention Center on charges including domestic violence and unlawful imprisonment, which he acquired on Friday, Dec. 22.
"Under no circumstances are you to engage this unsafe animal", the sheriff's department said. "They were both active within the community and just, like I said, two of the nicest people you would ever meet".
However, he was bitten on the head, arm and hand, and was taken to the hospital for treatment.
This is not the only pit bull attack of the year. "It's overwhelming the circumstances and what he found", Steele said.
An autopsy of Lorraine's body will be conducted on Tuesday, according to Bell County Coroner Jay Steele.
