There's some uncertainty as it relates to head coach Bill O'Brien and general manager Rick Smith.
"Effective immediately, I have chosen to take an extended leave of absence to focus my attention and intention on my wife's complete recovery from her recent diagnosis of breast cancer".
Deshaun Watson has voiced his support for O'Brien.
Last week, O'Brien said he would be willing to coach the final season without signing a contract extension and said earlier this month that he "will never quit as head football coach of the Houston Texans".
Watson was putting up some kind of video game numbers in a system O'Brien designed for him prior to his ACL injury, and with the loss of Watson came the loss of the Texans' season.

The station will be build as part of an extension of Jerusalem's highspeed rail, which will soon reach the Western Wall. She added: "What we are doing is returning our embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, where we had it for many years".
"While the four-year partnership between O'Brien and Smith has produced two AFC South division titles", wrote Wilson, "the relationship between the two is characterized as problematic and could lead to an either-or-situation going forward, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the situation but not authorized to speak publicly".
The Houston Texans are expected to retain Bill O'Brien as their coach next season, league sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter. The 49-year-old spent four seasons as the Director of Football Operation for Houston's Week 17 opponent, the Indianapolis Colts.
The Texans were apparently deliberating whether or not to fire O'Brien at the end of this season, but that doesn't appear to be the case any longer.
He seemed to have finally struck gold under center this season whenWatson burst onto the scene. Injuries also cost the Texans' arguably their two best players on defense - J.J. Watt and Whitney Mercilus - for much of the season.
