The stores targeted for closure are unprofitable and are set to be shuttered between early March and early April, the company said in the release.
Sears wasn't the only department store to announce closings Thursday.
Sears continues to operate stores in Dover and Concord Pike. The majority of the jobs are part-time positions, Sears said.
