A freaky incident at a school board meeting in Louisiana Monday night after a teacher is removed from the meeting in handcuffs. "I feel like it's a slap in the face to all the teachers, cafeteria workers and any other support staff we have".
The teacher was called upon a second time for comment and, after posing another question, the unidentified Abbeville city marshal on duty grabbed Hargrave and removed her from the meeting.
As Puyau began to to directly address Hargrave, the city marshal officer asked her to leave. He told her to "stop resisting", to which she replied, "I am not, you just pushed me to the floor".
School superintendent Jerome Puyau, the man whose potential pay raise was being discussed in the meeting, said that no charges were filed by him or the board against Hargrave.
Local reports say Fontana was unfamiliar with the board and its members before the nomination, but his selection was made by Fontana in an effort to split a deadlock vote on approving the raise for Puyau.
"I have a serious issue with a superintendent or any person of leadership getting any type of raise", Hargrave said.
Green Bay Packers hire Brian Gutekunst as new GM
The Green Bay Packers are staying in house by replacing Ted Thompson as General Manager with 44 year old Brian Gutekunst. Gutekunst has been with the Packers for 19 seasons, and was promoted to director of player personnel in 2016.
A Louisiana teacher who was forcibly removed from a school board hearing in a viral video clip was booked on two crimes and bonded out of jail Tuesday morning, court documents show.
She was taken outside by a police officer, handcuffed, and arrested for resisting arrest. "We work very hard, with very little, to maintain the salaries we have".
"What are you doing?" the distressed teacher shouted.
Hargrave has yet to comment on her removal.
As an organization that advocates for the dedicated school employees of Louisiana, we firmly denounce the mistreatment of Ms. Hargrave, a loving parent and dedicated teacher serving the students of Vermilion Parish.
While the board members did recognize it was the teacher's turn to speak, it's unclear if they called the marshal into the room to cut her off or if the officer acted on his own.
