Running back Damien Harris, who was seen by some as a second- or third-round pick, chose to return to school.
Damien Harris is apparently giving himself that chance.
The decision by Payne (6-2, 308 pounds) was reported by AL.com and ESPN. Harris has yet to make a public announcement, but several of his teammates reacted with excitement on social media Wednesday.
Harris rushed for 1,000 yards or more in each of the last two seasons.
This season, Ridley had 63 catches for 967 yards and five touchdowns. Harris, Scarbrough, Ridley and Payne were five-star signees when they arrived in 2015. "With that being said, I will return for my senior year to graduate and try to repeat this feeling of winning a national championship again ..."

The Green Bay Packers are staying in house by replacing Ted Thompson as General Manager with 44 year old Brian Gutekunst. Gutekunst has been with the Packers for 19 seasons, and was promoted to director of player personnel in 2016.
