Trump apologizes for Britain First retweets in interview, host says

U.S. President Donald Trump was close to apologizing Friday for sharing three unverified anti-Muslim videos from a British far-right group last November but stopped short of actually saying sorry.
Trump shared the videos that were first posted by Jayda Fransen, the deputy leader of Britain First, a far-right group founded in 2011 that frequently posts anti-immigration views. "I knew nothing about that", Trump said, referring to Britain First.

The incident caused a huge headache for British Prime Minister Theresa May, who said that Trump was "wrong" to send out the tweets.

The minority party's response is typically delivered on national television immediately following the president's speech. Virginia Democrat Elizabeth Guzman of the Virginia House of Delegates will give the Spanish-language response.
When asked about "women who think he is the worst kind of sexist, misogynist pig", Trump replied: 'Well, I am for them. and I think a lot of them understand that'.
They could also be seen as a blow for Mrs May following her largely successful meeting with Mr Trump in Davos, Switzerland, on Thursday.
Trump's full interview special, President Trump: The Piers Morgan Interview will air the night of January 28 on ITV. "I support her. I support a lot of what she does and a lot of what she says", he said. "I think they want to be safe at home, in many different respects".

A proposed Trump visit to the United Kingdom in 2018 was apparently canceled earlier this month, though the White House denied it was due to the threat of protests. "It was a big story where you are, but it was not a big story where I am". London Mayor Sadiq Khan, who has sparred with the US president on Twitter, said after Trump's retweets that Britain should not welcome a visit from the president. "You know why? 'Cuz I don't care". "I'm for women, I'm for men, I'm for everyone", Piers quoted Trump on Twitter.
"I've had a lot of problems with the European Union, and it may morph into something very big from that standpoint, from a trade standpoint".
