Starting with 2000 homes in 13 cities, Airbnb Plus is intended for guests looking for lovely homes, exceptional hosts and added peace of mind. If you were to go by Airbnb CEO Brian Chesky's definition, it could mean a space that allows you to live like a local.
Additionally, Airbnb Plus and Beyond by Airbnb have been created to appeal to new users who wouldn't typically find staying in a private home appealing.
The company also finally announced how it will brand the collection of private, luxury properties it acquired with the $300 million purchase of Luxury Retreats a year ago.
The service is launching today to mark Airbnb's 10th anniversary. It also comes with a premium customer support, which should make it easier for guests to reach the company should something go wrong.
Until now, Airbnb has offered three categories of accommodation: "Shared Space", which could be the original concept of an airbed in someone's living room, "Private Room", which means you'll have the host around but a degree of seclusion, and "Entire Home" - increasingly an apartment which may be let professionally by a business.

Airbnb today announced a new hotel-like tier of service on its platform the company is calling Airbnb Plus.
The phenomenon has also extended beyond its initial "millennial" appeal - in 2018, roughly 30% of hosts are 50 and older, and 12% are 60 and older.
This new tier of listings on the homesharing website will be inspected in-person by Airbnb staff in a pilot program of 2,000 homes in 13 cities: Austin, Barcelona, Cape Town, Chicago, Los Angeles, London, Melbourne, Milan, Rome, San Francisco, Shanghai, Sydney and Toronto. "Beyond by Airbnb will offer luxury rentals with 'world-class hospitality" later this spring.
Chesky's view represents a striking evolution for the company, which just a few years ago defended itself as a passive technology platform, not responsible for what homes it listed or how they were used. Hosts also benefit from the new tier as they'll be privy to top placement and even in-home services like expert photography and design consultation which could lead to additional bookings and increased earnings.
Categorization: Now customers will be able to search on accommodations based on what kind of trip they're taking-for instance, family-friendly homes versus rooms geared toward business travelers. Chesky noted that Superguest will launch initially to 10,000 guests as a trial this summer before being rolled out to Airbnb's wider guest community before the end of the year. When the Super Guest program gets off the ground later this year, it will offer 10,000 guests access to special benefits such as airport pickup and exclusive activities.

If this occurs, Allen said, offering as a perspective, that, "Seaforth Mineral and all of River Road will be under water". Operations manager Curtis Gillman said the water was so deep, a pontoon boat could go through it.
