As a weather system moves in from the south during the early hours of Monday - and comes up against cold air over the United Kingdom - there is the chance that rain could turn to snow, heavy in places.
There is the possibility of heavy snow in the area, especially for high ground and travel may be affected across the South of Scotland as well as England and Wales.
However, the warning adds that "it is quite possible that snow might not be too disruptive".
