President Donald Trump, the host with the most, once again welcomes Japan's Prime Minister Shinzo Abe to Mar-a-Lago to renew their "leaders of the free world" vows. Pompeo's visit and the tweet provide the strongest sign yet about Trump's willingness to become the first serving USA president ever to meet a North Korean leader, amid a protracted standoff over the North's nuclear and missile programs it pursues in defiance of UNSC resolutions.
Trump surprised Abe, and much of the world, when he announced that he would meet North Korean leader Kim Jong Un.

Chris Kreuger, an analyst at Cowen Washington Research Group, said the head-spinning changes from Trump represent the new normal. "You're seeing dialogue between is good news for Guam", he said.
Earlier on Tuesday, Mr Larry Kudlow, the newly installed director of Mr Trump's National Economic Council, said that a waiver for Japan was "on the table".

Over dessert-a "beautiful chocolate cake", Trump later recounted-he told Xi that he was in the midst of bombing one of his allies. However, it remains to be seen whether the U.S.
Welcoming Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe and wife Akie Abe, the first lady opted for her signature shoe style: Christian Louboutin's almost 5-inch So Kate stilettos in white.
Besides North Korea, Mr Abe was expected to have made a case for the suspension of USA tariffs on aluminium and steel - a favour extended to several American allies but not yet to Japan. North Korea says eight others died and denies the remaining four entered its territory.
