The worldwide House of Pancakes, commonly known as IHOP, has officially switched its name.
A flagship IHOb restaurant in Hollywood, California, has been rebranded and will host a "VIB launch party" Monday evening, the company said in a press release.
Both restaurant chains serve burgers and pancakes.

Moschino designer Jeremy Scott said that he briefly met Spade and they shared a laugh about having the same hometown. Her husband said in a statement on Wednesday that she had suffered from depression and anxiety for many years.

IHOP seems to be hedging its bets by saying the IHOb name is "for the time being", suggesting the effort may be more of a marketing ploy rather than a true rebranding campaign. "Can't wait to try a burger from the place that decided pancakes were too hard", the fast-food chain tweeted in response to the news.
Hence, the new name-it's temporary-and a TV spot featuring a restaurant manager shouting from the chain's recognizable pitched blue rooftop.
The risky switch from flapjacks to burgers comes after Dine Grand Global, the parent company of IHOP and Applebee's, saw a 1.9 percent decline in sales in its most recent fiscal year, reports show.
Just as many speculated on social media about the name change, Twitter has been quick to react to the great reveal.
